As we saw his CIP67/68 proposal we realized that this opens so many doors for us, our community and how our NFTs evolve down the road. \ \ Ok, Let's get down to the nitty-gritty. {% hint style="warning" %} Since this tech is still very new and lacks a lot of documentation we are still undergoing a lot of R\&D (research and development), therefore this is all subject to change. \ However, we aim to keep everyone closely updated as we go further down the CIP67/68 rabbit hole. {% endhint %} ## Stages of the transition from V1.0 to V2.0 In the spirit to keep it as simple for everyone as we aim to figure out a smooth transition period, taking all aspects of the **tech**, **market**, and **communication** into account. \ \ During the boarding of the train to **EUPHORIA** (or redemption phase) you will be required to send your human to a temporary multi-sig wallet to safely store your human and prep him for the move to the new smart contract wallet which is linked to your new NFT. \ \ Once **2.0** is fully tested and launched, you will simply have to select your EUPHORIA.25 humans and transform them to a new NFT which will have the Society.25 humans stored safely in its individual smart contract. There is much more going on in the backend BUT from an end-user perspective that is all that will be required. \ \ Again we cannot emphasize enough how early this tech is and are going thru all the concerns to ensure the end result is something you will all be proud of.

Well mainly because our **UNIVERSE25** supply will remain at **10'001**, we won't be increasing supply across multiple POLICY IDs and therefore make the entire **UNIVERSE25** collection confusing the further down the circles we go. \ \ Additionally, it lets you carry the History of your HUMAN in one single NFT, therefore also resulting in carrying over the value, by showcasing the NFTs linked to that one single NFT. ## Why this new 2.0 token? The reasoning behind this is that the original Society token policy is locked and cannot be evolved or modified. In order to continue pushing the bounds of the space and deliver a dope experience, we have decided to create a new token with the legacy SOCIETY.25 token attached to it. ## What will my main universe token look like? Well, a lot. ### How will the Euphoria.25 Redemption work? Each human will require you to use a ticket to board your train to EUPHORIA and therefore transform your human into a new version (as shown above). # Legion of ducks Rubber ducks may seem innocent and harmless, but in the hands of O'Brien, they are powerful tools of surveillance. Equipped with state-of-the-art tracking technology, these ducks stealthily gather vital data on humans, reporting back to **O'Brien** with alarming precision. But as with any new product, haste in its production can lead to vulnerabilities, allowing savvy individuals to hack into the ducks' systems and share the gathered information with those being tested on by O'Brien. ## What's next for the ducks? As mentioned above we have a lot of ideas for now but nothing is set in stone. \ The ducks are on an open policy which will allow us to bring them back when needed.\ \ We will make sure to keep you all posted when the time has come. # U25 Proprietary tech. Not only do we have a strong focus on ART and storytelling, our main goal was also to build and invest in a competent Dev. team to help us innovate and make sure we are able to push the limits no matter what. \ \ This year (2023) we have for aim to strengthen that and therefore expanded the dev team to start doing as much in-house as we possibly can. We not only strive for a seamless minting process but also aim to make the user's experience with our minting system as intuitive as possible through a well-designed user interface. Society minting system was a send to address mint whereby we dropped an address and a price and told users to send to the address in order for us to send to them a random token. With the advance in tech, we were able to upgrade the minting system to dapp integration and do what is called a [*multi-witness*](https://developers.cardano.org/docs/integrate-cardano/multi-witness-transactions-cli/) *transaction.* Whereby the user signs a transaction and sends ADA plus receives their minted NFT at the same time. This eliminates a second transaction and quite a bit of tracking on the backend.

## Burning system The task may appear to be easy, but it is not without its complexities. We have made every effort to simplify the burning process and create a user-friendly experience for all. Our goal is to make the burning mechanism as smooth and seamless as possible.\ \ Our first burning system was the Ducks Burn. We wanted to show the user at all times what he actually owned including anything that was pending. This system made it easy for users to trade in a duck and a blue ticket for a red ticket. We made sure to keep track of all the details to make the experience as simple and straightforward as possible for the user. So you could always see what you owned as well as the status of all transactions.

Burn system in action, the yellow represents (chained) meaning the transaction is still pending but we are still grabbing the outputs. In theory you could take those outputs and make new transactions from them, but at that time all wallet **dapps** did not allow for chaining.

## Redemption System (COMING SOON) Our objective is to make the future drop system easy and stress-free. \ No need to worry about time zones or getting up early to mint. With the proper human and ticket, you'll have guaranteed entry to **Euphoria**. The entire drop process will be hosted on the official **Universe.25** website and will be integrated with a **dAPP** (*Our system will support all popular Cardano Shelly wallets*). \ \ You simply need: 1. to link your wallet to display the tokens you own 2. choose the humans you want to board the train. 3. select which ticket your human will use. 4. **Board the train!**\ \ Simple for you **YES**! Simple for us **NO**!

NFT, to simply grab the high-resolution image of their human. \ \ Besides those fun little tools, ZIGGY allows our LORE team to explore new ways to interact with our community by creating complex interactive LORE drops. # Stake pool ## INTRO As you all know we started this journey with an AIRDROP and we promised from day one that we will continue with that philosophy. Our distribution for rewards is based on an epoch cycle. We define this cycle as being 6 epochs or every 30 days. In the last epoch or epoch 6, a larger giveaway will be done. {% hint style="info" %} This reward system is currently on hold and will resume in the next couple weeks. \ The reason is that we are restructuring the backend to be more autonomous and improve the system based on our learnings from 2022. {% endhint %}

The rewards for the first 5 epochs are split into two categories: **ADA** based, and **Token** based. **ADA** based uses only the users **ADA** to determine the chance they have to win whereas **Token** based uses only the users tokens to determine. For both categories a minimum of 2 epochs staked is required for that delegator to be considered. This ensures their stake is actually supporting the pool as it takes 2 epochs before their stake is added to the Live Stake.\ \ **ADA-based** takes the total amount of ADA staked *(ignoring the blacklisted wallets which belong to the team)* and gives the user that weight of winning. For example, John has 100 ADA staked and the total staked is 10,000ADA, John has a (100/10000) or 1% chance to win.\ \ For **token-based** staking, the same argument applies as before. Take all the tokens staked for that given project (i.e. U25) and assign weights to each delegator. For example, John has 10 Society tokens and 1 OG token and the total staked tokens are 1000, John has a ((10 + 1) / 1000) or 1.1% chance to win.
For **token-based staking,** this can also take into account fungible tokens further down the road if need be 😊!! ## **HOW** ARE THE WINNERS PICKED? At the end of the last **EPOCH** of the month, we automatically pick a winner based on their staking weight (must be a society.25). The amount of tokens staked increases your chances to be picked by our system but we also add luck factor to ensure not only people with a large amount of token win the prizes. {% hint style="warning" %} Please note that for the monthly EPOCH winner, we will have a cooldown of 12 EPOCHS. \ This will ensure we can make it fair for every delegator! {% endhint %} ## CROSS PROJECT POOL For cross-project capabilities, we will custom meet the needs of that project, but for the most part, the backend remains the same and can be adjusted to match the project's need. **More info coming soon!** ## FAQ #### But what if you have multiple tokens from the same project? *ADA-based will take into account the total ADA you have regardless of tokens but so long as you have that project's token. Token-based is the same as well, each project will take into account only its holder's tokens.* #### Is there a minimum **ADA** requirement? *Depends on the project, for token-based by default we say no requirement as it is **token staking**. Initial delegation to a stake pool In order to stake your ADA, you’ll need to move your funds to a wallet that supports staking, such as Daedalus, Yoroi, Nami, ETRNL, Flint or AdaLite. You’ll then need to decide on a stake pool to delegate your wallet to. With hundreds of active stake pools, choosing the best pool for you can be daunting. Our guide on [Choosing a Stake Pool](https://viperstaking.com/ada-pools/choosing-a-pool/) can help you through the process. When you delegate to a stake pool, you are delegating **your entire wallet**, not a specific amount of ADA. Whenever you add or remove funds from your wallet, your staked balance that is eligible to earn rewards will be updated. A **2 ADA** deposit is required to delegate your wallet. You can get this deposit back if you undelegat your wallet. There will also be a transaction fee for registering your wallet to stake (about 0.17 ADA), which you will not get back. This fee will also be assessed any time you choose to move your stake to another pool. Your newly delegated stake will be included in your chosen stake pool at the beginning of the next epoch, as we explain next. ## 2. First stake snapshot The accounting periods on the Cardano blockchain are called *epochs*. These occur every five days, and are the periods of time in which pools produce blocks and delegators earn rewards. The number of blocks a pool is eligible to produce is a random process governed by the amount of *active stake* in the stake pool. Active stake is the amount of ADA delegated to a stake pool during the *stake snapshot* that occurred at the beginning of the previous epoch. Your funds are never “locked” when delegating to a pool and are solely under your control. You are free to spend your ADA whenever you’d like, and the stake pool does not have access to your funds. There is no risk of losing ADA when delegating your wallet. ## 3. Rewards are earned Once your stake has been included in a stake snapshot, it will become *active* during the following epoch, which means it is eligible to earn rewards. You will earn a share of your stake pool’s rewards based on the amount of stake you have in the pool. The more blocks the pool produces during the epoch, the more rewards you will earn. ## 4. Rewards are calculated After each epoch has concluded, the rewards for each of the stake pool’s delegators will be calculated based on the number of blocks produced by the pool. ## 5. Rewards are paid! The rewards you earned during an epoch will be paid out at the beginning of the next epoch (1 full epoch after the rewards were earned). These rewards will be automatically included in your staked balance (and hence you will earn compounding returns on your delegation!), so you don’t need to manually claim your rewards every epoch in order to have them included. It will take 15 to 20 days between the time you first delegate your ADA and when you receive your first reward payout. After this, you will receive rewards every epoch (5 days) which were earned by your active stake from 2 epochs prior. {% hint style="warning" %} Regaring delegation payouts, please keep in mind that our pool margin is currently set to **0.42%.** This means that we do not keep anything from the rewards earned as a STAKE POOL, all goes 100% to the community. Nonetheless, crime is rampant, war is nigh and everyone everywhere is downright miserable. Why? Well, Universe Laboratories is here to answer that very question. Through a combination of state-of-the-art artificial intelligence and live human test subjects, we have been able to build a simulation environment capable of replicating all the intricacies of living in a society. Thus, we are able to thoroughly understand the nature of all societal ailments and propose effective corrections for our own society. This simulation is simply known as the Universe experiment. Meet the players behind the simulation, behind the Universe 25. ## Dr. O’Brien.

**Dr. O'Brien**, or simply O'Brien, as he insists to be addressed, requires no introduction, but if you have been living in a cave for the last decade, this is a synopsis. **O'Brien** is, first and foremost, a visionary. A bright and generous mind that will do what has to be done in order to improve our lives and society. The meek and the envious have always hounded O'Brien, accusing him of the most incredible things, from human trafficking and corporate espionage to financial fraud and even murder. All nonsense, of course. The typical charter surrounds all self-made billionaires. O'Brien has been part of many fruitful humanitarian endeavors, like the Peacekeeper machines used by police departments all over the world and the CryptoServanz App, which revolutionized the world's gig economy. He is now the founder and **CEO** of **Universe Laboratories**, his final venture into the future of mice society. ## Winston

Winston is the most unsavory character in the history of Universe Laboratories. Physically, Winston is remarkably similar to O'Brien, though the two mice could not be any more different where it counts. A long time ago Winston was hired by **O'Brien** as a private investigator, though they quickly fell out for undisclosed reasons. Ever since Winston has been on an unending crusade to **undo** all the progress achieved by **O'Brien** and **Universe Laboratories.** Winston has employed all kinds of tactics to attack O'Brien, from slanderous articles in global journals to direct cyber-attacks on the Universe infrastructure and the Universe 25 simulation. The extent of the damage is yet to be fully assessed. O'Brien has for some unknown reason been very patient and measured with Winston, but it's difficult to foresee this attitude holding for much longer. ## Rufist

Rufist is the world's first fully sentient artificial intelligence, built by O'Brien when he was barely twenty years old. Rufist has been part of O'Brien's life for a long time, and O'Brien himself calls him his greatest achievement, as he is always working on him and improving him. Rufist works as O'Brien's assistant in all his endeavors, and sources close to the two describe their relationship as more of a friendship. A friendship where one of the friends legally owns the other and can make changes to his mind, but that's not here nor there.
Rufist runs the Universe simulations from the inside as a kind of showrunner or master of ceremonies, connecting himself to the human subjects as only he can. With the success of the Universe 25 experiment, he has asked to have an assistant of his own. ## Ziggy

Ziggy is Rufist new assistant, and the youngest member of the Universe Laboratories family, only a few months old at the time of writing. Ziggy is, as Rufist, a fully sentient artificial intelligence, though while Rufist is mild-mannered and agreeable, Ziggy has a more eccentric personality. Ziggy has stated that his favorite piece of literature was the sci-fi classic "I Have no Mouth and I Must Scream", which he found "amusing" and "inspiring". We can safely assume that a few bugs and kinks need to be fixed yet. Also, there are some security concerns, but nothing that the team can't handle. \ \ Ziggy's primary focus is on running the Universe simulation with Rufist. His first idea for the experiment was the use of the Legion of Ducks as a surveillance mechanism, in order to obtain more complete data from the subjects. The team thought that it was an odd idea, but here at Univers Laboratories, we like to encourage new ideas and entrepreneurship. # Universe.25 Universe 25 is the current iteration of the Universe experiment run by Dr. O'Brien. We don't talk about what happened to the other 24 universes, there's no point in dwelling in the past. As of now, part one of the experiment, Limbo, has been successfully carried out, yielding very interesting results regarding human behavior and its many flaws. The Euphoria update is being implemented at the time of writing, which will allow us to understand human behavior under dream-like conditions. What happens when subjects get what they want? Will they, finally, find happiness? ## THE LAB This is the heart of Universe Laboratories, and where our glorious founder, **O'Brien**, spends most of his time. Take a gander, what do you see? Cleanliness and professionalism! Why so many screens, you ask? Well, he likes to watch. **Here, in the Lab, is where the great future of our society is built.** \ \ Be grateful, you just had a glimpse into the future.

Coming **soon!** # Limbo Station - S25 The first stage of the **Universe 25** experiment takes place around Limbo Station, the entrance point to Utopia City. Limbo Station works as a control group for the following experiments, as well as a testing ground to select the aptest subjects for the following stages. The basic premise of the experiment is simple, though it has led to frightening results in the past: how will humans behave in a post-scarcity environment? If there is no need to worry about food and shelter, and no reason to work, how will humans react to this? To recreate these conditions, all humans in Limbo Station have been awarded a frugal yet comfortable one-bedroom apartment, where meals simply appear a few times a day. Other than that, there is no infrastructure around Limbo Station, except for the Station itself, where Charon patiently awaits the end of the Limbo stage. **Soon**. Results have been very revealing so far, and tickets have been distributed among the suitable subjects to continue their travel around **Utopia City**. Those left behind will remain in Limbo, to remain as a control group for the experiment. **Euphoria Resort.** Euphoria Resort is the first stop of Charon inside Utopia City. The Resort is a luxury resting complex, where each room is equipped with a virtual reality console, capable of replicating the user's wildest dreams. While in Limbo Station the aim was to study human behavior in a post-scarcity environment, the aim in Euphoria is to study human behavior in an environment where there is no distinction between desires and realities. \ \ What do humans really want? \ What would they do if they were to attain it? \ \ There have been some issues with some subjects being unwilling to engage with the virtual reality console, on the grounds that they object to the notion of a simulation, of a less-than-real reality. Ironic, we know. Most subjects, on the other hand, have been very cooperative and their activity, though often scandalous or downright disgusting, has been very welcome by the team as revealing data on human nature.
